George Anthros

George Anthros brings a heart for pastoral care, recovery ministry, and missions to Local Love Ministry. For more than eleven years, he led Celebrate Recovery Ministry and has served as a chaplain in the Cherokee County jail system for seven years.
His ministry experience includes work with Genesis Recovery Ministries, leading Bible studies, and preaching in various settings. George has participated in multiple mission trips, including two to Haiti, five to Nicaragua, and post-Hurricane Katrina relief in Mississippi. Each trip reflects his unwavering commitment to bringing both the Gospel and practical support to communities in need.
Since the ministry’s founding, George has been a faithful volunteer, preaching messages of hope and encouragement to nursing home residents. Alongside his wife, Debbi, he exemplifies Local Love Ministry’s mission to bring joy, dignity, and Christ’s love to those who need it the most.
