Cheryl Thomas

Board Member

Cheryl Thomas is known for her servant heart and tireless dedication to uplifting seniors. A faithful volunteer since Local Love Ministry’s earliest days, she helps create joyful, encouraging moments for residents.

After nearly 30 years as a Radiologic Technologist, Cheryl relocated from North Carolina to Georgia with her husband, a retired U.S. Marine. Widowed in 2019 after 42 years of marriage, she found renewed purpose by deepening her faith and serving others.

At Local Church Canton, Cheryl serves as a Lay Leader, Compassion Team coordinator, and member of the Events and Photography Teams. She also volunteers with SERV International and the Cumming Sunset Quilting Guild, making handmade quilts for Habitat for Humanity families and boys at the Forsyth Boys Home.

Cheryl’s resilience and compassion embody Local Love’s mission. Whether through organized outreach or quiet acts of kindness, she brings light, dignity, and love to every senior she serves.
