Lynn Batchelor
Vice Presient & Board Member
Lynn Batchelor combines her lifelong passion for education, creativity, and faith to bring joy and Christ’s light to nursing home residents. A Georgia native raised in Atlanta, she has been an active volunteer with Local Love Ministry since its founding in 2024, known for her warmth, artistic vision, and compassionate spirit.
Lynn holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education in Art Education from Georgia Southern University. Over her 28-year teaching career—25 years in Georgia public schools and three years in a Christian private school—she earned certifications in Reading, ESOL, and Advanced Placement Art. She also founded a chapter of the National Honor Society for Art and guided her students in service projects, including assisted living visits and portraits for children in Bolivia.
Her heart for seniors grew in 2010 when her stepfather entered assisted living, giving her firsthand insight into their emotional and spiritual needs. When founder Renee shared the vision for Local Love Ministry, Lynn knew it was the perfect place to apply her gifts.
She and her husband of 45 years are active members of Local Church Canton, participating in Bible studies, service projects, and volunteer initiatives. They enjoy traveling, time with their two children and four grandchildren, and sharing their love of the arts. Lynn’s hobbies—painting, sewing, crafting, and reading—often enrich Local Love events, creating colorful, joyful experiences for residents.
Her blend of creativity, faith, and compassion helps ensure that every senior touched by the ministry feels dignity, love, and joy.
